With all the real estate development action in the near West Loop, it can be hard to keep up! So, we’ve put together the highlights to help you keep track.
First, MCZ Development and Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture are bringing this mixed use 136-foot building to the near West Loop. The ground floor will feature 15,000 square feet of retail space. Additionally, the development will have 40,000 square of office space and 75 residential units. Furthermore, the green-roofed building will feature a penthouse amenity floor with a sundeck and dog run.
Secondly, Taris Real Estate’s new 10-story development will feature 24 high end condos. Units will be priced at about $500 per square foot. 900 West Washington will have a dark, slate exterior, in keeping with the near West Loop’s sleek, industrial vibe. The projected completion date is December 2017.
Related Midwest’s new apartment tower is under construction, conveniently located near the University of Illinois at Chicago and Randolph Street’s nightlife. Additionally, the building will feature 30 stories with a total of about 300 rental units. The LEED-designed building has an expected completion date in 2017.
