If there’s anything Chicagoans love more than trying a hip new restaurant, it’s exploring Chicago neighborhoods, and Chicago Restaurant Week is a great way to get out and fall in love with new pockets of the city. Chicago Restaurant Week 2023 features 335 restaurants in 34 Chicago neighborhoods as well as 37 restaurants in the Chicago suburbs and runs through February 5th. During Chicago Restaurant Week each participating restaurant offers one or multiple prix fixe menus to give patrons a sample of their best featured dishes, often for a great value. Here are some of the top Chicago Restaurant Week fan favorites.
With its eclectic decor and creative, fully vegan menu, Bloom Plant Based Kitchen fits right in with the character of Wicker Park. Their $59 Chicago Restaurant Week menu includes four courses. Diners will have a choice between the plum and celery ceviche or cashew requeson for their appetizer, an aguacate or choice of taco as their second course, yuca gnocchi, spatzle, or forest pot pie as their main course, and a dessert trio to finish.
Chez Joel serves up traditional French fare (including coq au vin, steak frites, escargots, and an exceptional wine list) with ambiance that will make you forget that you’re not in a bistro in the south of France. For restaurant week, their $42 prix fixe menu includes three courses: a choice between French onion soup or a goat cheese salad to start, steak, ravioli, salmon, or roasted chicken as a main course, and chocolate mousse, creme brûlée, or profiteroles for dessert.
Beatrix is the perfect spot for any time of day or night. Their coffee bar, brunch menu, and lounge area are popular for morning meet ups and their bar, dinner menu, and trendy ambiance make it the place to be after the sun sets. Beatrix’s Restaurant Week lunch menu is $25 for a starter (like whipped feta with truffle or avocado ceviche), an entree (like a prime burger or craft salad), and a dessert (as healthy as chia seed pudding or decadent as chocolate lava cake). They’re also offering brunch a ($25) and dinner ($42) menus with a wider selection of dishes and a cocktail.
Even better, Beatrix is a Lettuce Entertain You concept so you can download the Lettuce app to earn rewards and get your first reward just for signing up.
