The West Loop is chalk full of excellent coffee shops, but not all coffee shops are ideal if you’re looking for the best places to work remotely. If you’re looking for places with fast WiFi, ample seating, and quality lattes, here are the best places to work remotely in the West Loop.
Sawada Coffee on Green Street
Sawada is not the place to go if you’re in a rush to get your first caffeine of the day. As arguably the most popular coffee and matcha spot in the city, it’s not uncommon to see a line out the door to the sidewalk– and it’s worth every minute. Sawada’s quality of coffee and matcha is second to none. There’s not much seating in the coffee portion of the building, but just to the left of the coffee bar there’s bleacher style seating with outlets and WiFi, plenty of table seating at the attached Green Street Smoked Meats dining room, and even more seating just out the door in Gin Alley (a hidden cobblestone alley that feels like a place straight out of Europe). If you’re looking to change up your run of the mill coffee house vibes, Sawada is the place to go.
Froth is located near the United Center and Skinner Park in the first floor of The Duncan apartments. Between the excellent lattes, creative menu, and cozy-chic industrial aesthetic, it’s no mystery why Froth is so popular. Thankfully, Froth has tons of indoor seating as well as a spacious outdoor patio to accommodate its high volume of regular customers. Best of all, Froth is dog friendly!
“Working From” at The Hoxton
Working From is the designated coworking space at The Hoxton Hotel. You can stop by with a day pass if you’re just looking for a change of scenery (and great unlimited coffee included), or opt for a designated desk or studio if you want to make Working From one of your more regular places to work remotely.
