This western portion of River North, bordered by Chicago Ave to the north, Grand to the south, Orleans to the east, and the river to the west,  has gained tremendous popularity in recent years. The immediately surrounding area was home to lavish mansions and privately owned condos, but didn’t have much by the way of managed rental buildings until Onni Group’s successful lease up of The Hudson, at 750 N Hudson adjacent to the site of HUGO. With the Groupon headquarters just a few blocks away as well a multitude of other new offices that have recently moved into the area, there has been increased demand for luxury rentals from those who want to live a hop and skip from work. This part of River North is also popular because it has a more quiet, tree-lined, residential neighborhood feel than you would get in the other more lively parts of River North further east. Although quieter, this area still offers the best of River North with excellent restaurants, parks, salons, and coffee shops tucked between each quaint street. It’s no mystery why so many people are eager to call this area home!
