If you’re looking for luxury apartments in Chicago and wondering when to start your search or how much to budget for your move, here’s everything you need to know before getting started!
Timing your search depends on whether you’re looking to live in a managed high rise or a privately owned condo. In general, managed buildings will start to have availability about 60 days out and privately owned condos tend to pop up within 30 days of their availability date. Managed high rises tend to offer the beset pricing and concessions (like rent credits or a month free) for vacant units more often than they do for units coming up later. However, luxury apartments in Chicago tend to rent pretty quickly, so you don’t want to wait too long and risk having limited availability. All in all, the best time to look for an apartment in Chicago is about 45 days out from your move date if you want the maximum number of options and the best pricing.
Managed high rises tend to have lower costs associated with moving than privately owned condos because they’ll often do a small administrative fee (about $400-500) and no security deposit or move in fees. Often times, the administrative fee can be credited back to your rent account if you apply within 24-48 hours of first touring the unit.
Privately owned condos tend to ask for a security deposit (about one month of rent), a move in fee (usually about $300-750), and first months rent.
In some cities like New York or Boston, it’s customary to pay a broker fee. Renters are often happy to learn that there are no costs associated with working with a broker for renters in Chicago.
Both managed high rise units and privately owned units will ask for an application fee, usually ranging around $50-65.
All in all, it tends to cost about $500-600 plus your first month of rent to move into an apartment in a managed high rise and it tends to cost about two months of rent plus about $400-800 to move into a privately owned condo. Of course, these numbers are averages and will vary depending on the landlord.

With so much (tempting) new construction in Chicago, many renters are wondering, are luxury apartments worth it?
Aysha Hackert, partner and broker at Downtown Apartment Company and DRC, shared her insight with Go Banking Rates and Yahoo on the topic.
Don’t Sweat the Small (or Big) Stuff
One of the major advantages of living in a managed luxury building is the caliber of management and maintenance. Buildings often have on-site maintenance with 24 hour emergency response. This isn’t something you’ll appreciate every day, but when you need it, you’ll be really glad you have it.
The management companies often hired by high rise developers tend to have a strong reputation with a national presence, which means more resources and systems in place to keep buildings running smoothly. From seamless lease renewals, to resident events, concierge services, and even minor needs like when you need a lightbulb changed or an appliance repaired, there are quite a few advantages to having a high quality professional management and maintenance team on site.
Third Party Vendors
Most high rise luxury properties work with third party vendors that offer incredibly convenient services. Popular services include on-site personal training, an option to get your car washed while it’s parked in your building garage spot, valet dry cleaning, room service available from a private chef service, housekeeping and cleaning, and even miscellaneous chores like plant watering.
When she commented for the Go Banking Rates article, Hackert used the example of a management company that offers a “Home Away” program. When you’re away from your unit on a vacation or trip, they will water your plants, water and feed your animals and deliver any packages directly into your unit.
Many buildings include health club quality fitness centers with state of the art equipment like Peloton bikes, spa amenities like salt saunas, resident-only salons, and massage treatment rooms, co-working and flexible individual work spaces, rooms for entertaining and hosting private events, on-site coffee bars (some of which are even staffed with baristas), wine cellars, bike repair stations, recording studios, and substantial discounts on hotels, restaurants, and retail in the surrounding areas.
Hackert added that living in a luxury building can help cut costs for services and expenses if you find the building offers amenities that match your lifestyle needs. For example, if you move into a luxury apartment with a fitness center, you could save money by canceling your existing gym membership and use the facilities provided on-site.

There’s a reason New York and downtown Chicago are world renowned cities. Moving from New York to Chicago? Here are some of the biggest similarities and differences you need to know between the two.
One thing New Yorkers and Chicagoans alike appreciate about their cities is the vibrant and distinct culture of each neighborhood. If you like the elegant brownstones of The Village, take a stroll down Dearborn Street in the Gold Coast or down Sheffield in Lincoln Park.
If SoHo is your vibe, check out the chic brick and timber lofts, galleries, and world-renowned restaurants of Fulton Market. Is Brooklyn more your scene? Head to Logan Square, Wicker Park, and West Town for a vibrant hipster artist scene mixed with tree-lined residential streets, coffee shops, and farmers markets. Another thing Chi City and the Big Apple have in common– both sure made great use of their waterfronts! If you’re seeking Cooney Island vibes, head to Navy Pier for boat cruises, carnival rides, the Ferris wheel, dining, fireworks, and incredible live events. When you’ve gotten your fix of the pier, stroll to North Avenue or Oak Street beaches for a fun round of volleyball or relaxing water-side yoga class.
Although Chicago streets feel quite bustling to Chicagoans, New Yorkers always marvel at how “little traffic” there is on both streets and sidewalks compared to downtown Manhattan. Chicago streets can get a little backed up during rush hour but for the most part, it’s easy to breeze between neighborhoods. New Yorkers also appreciate how easy it is to go for a run on the sidewalks compared to Manhattan and how many additional running and biking trails there are. From the 606 trail that runs through the western neighborhoods, the Lakefront trail that runs through the eastern neighborhoods, and the Riverwalk that runs through the center of the city, to the smaller paths through any number of spacious local parks, like the two mile loop around Humboldt Park or the 5.5 mile loop through and around Lincoln Park, there are plenty of places to be in nature and unwind in the heart of downtown.

It’s no mystery why both Chicago and Boston are two of the most popular cities in the country. Both have vibrant cultures, stunning outdoor public amenities, and are rich with history. If you’re thinking of moving to Chicago from Boston, here are some of the main similarities and differences between the two cities.
Although Chicago doesn’t have an ocean like Boston, water is no less a part of Chicago culture. The Riverwalk is a popular place to stroll, run, dine, and gather year round. In the warmer months, the Chicago lakefront is the place to be. You’ll find Chicagoans playing beach volleyball on North Avenue Beach, dining at Castaways or The Shore Club, doing sunrise yoga at Oak Street Beach in summer mornings, biking and running on the lakefront trail, and boating in and around the Play Pen.
The weather in Chicago isn’t much different than in Boston. Both cities get roughly 200 days of sunshine per year and have average summer highs of 83 degrees and winter lows of exactly 19.2 degrees. The only main difference is the amount of precipitation. Chicago gets about 25% less snow and rain than Boston.
On the whole, residents of both Chicago and Boston share a noticeable sense of pride around their city. From our sports teams (no matter how good…or bad… they are), to our quirky traditions (i.e. dyeing the river green and not putting ketchup on hot dogs), and our incorrect names for landmarks (like refusing to call the Willis Tower anything other than “The Sears” or calling Cloudgate “The Bean”), Chicagoans from all backgrounds bond over a shared sense of love for the city.
Both cities also have a big culture around their history and folklore. Just like Boston is rich with early American culture, Chicago has an iconic history of its own. The world’s fair, great Chicago fire of 1871, and Daniel Burnham’s artful design of downtown are all staples of Chicago history.
Cost of Living
Upon moving to Chicago from Boston, Bostonians are often pleasantly surprised by the fact that rents and cost of living are, on average, lower in Chicago than they are in Boston. As of May 2022, data showed that rents in Boston are around 27% higher than in Chicago.
Chicago also has a more intricate and built-out public transit system than Boston. Between the CTA’s “L” train lines and bus routes, you can get to nearly every part of the city. If you’re trying to find your way around downtown Chicago, you can check train and bus times and routes by entering your starting location and destination then selecting the train icon on Google Maps.

What do you do when you want lots of outdoor space but don’t want to pay for more indoor space? Although they’re far and few between, some downtown studio apartments feature spacious balconies. Here are a few of those rare gems!
The location doesn’t get much better than this. With 591 square feet of living space, plus a large balcony space to boot, this studio layout is as large as many 1 bedroom apartments in the area. At this studio apartment, you’ll be in the heart of the lively River North neighborhood and less than a block from conveniences like Whole Foods and the CTA red line, and just blocks to the lakefront.
It’s hard to find any unit in Chicago with a balcony this spacious anywhere downtown, let alone in studio apartments. This South Loop gem is a way to get ample outdoor space without breaking the bank. This high rise is new construction with soft loft interiors, in unit washer and dryer, and resort style amenity spaces.
The spacious balcony at this River North studio apartment offers stunning views and more than enough space for a patio furniture setup. Work from home, entertain, or enjoy your morning coffee while you look out over the city skyline from the comfort of your home.

If you’re looking for separation between your bedroom and living space but don’t want to pay 1 bed prices, a convertible could be a great option for you. The price of many convertibles with in unit laundry is often close to the pricing of 1 beds without laundry, so if having your own washer and dryer is important to you, renting a convertible apartment can be a great way to get that at a fraction of the cost.
The term, “convertible”, simply means that a layout is a hybrid of a studio and 1 bedroom layout and can refer a broad range of unit styles. Code requires bedrooms to have certain features (like a source of natural light and a closet) to be considered marketable as a true 1 bed. In some cases, a convertible may just be the same as a 1 bed layout with a closet outside the bedroom or no window. Some convertibles have sliding doors that create separation, a full bedroom but no door, a partial wall, or a mostly open floor plan with an alcove for your bedroom area. Renting a convertible can be a great option if your price range doesn’t allow for a 1 bed but you want more separation than a studio would typically provide.
Here are a few of our favorite convertibles.
Property 145- Gold Coast
Property 145’s convertible made the list because of the great use of space. High ceilings, oversized windows, and ample storage space make this unit feel much larger than it actually is. The bedroom is not fully enclosed but the layout is comparable in size to a 1 bed. If you don’t mind the absence of a bedroom door (or don’t mind crafting your own with a curtain or strategic bookshelf placement), this layout tends to run about $300 less than the traditional 1 beds in this building.
Property 131- Streeterville
With ample square footage, this Streeterville convertible is even larger than most 1 bedroom layouts in the area. The floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city bring in maximum natural light and thoughtfully placed cabinets and closets make for generous storage space.
The bedroom area in this floor plan has an alcove with two half-walls separating it from the living area. One of these walls is the back side of the kitchen area. Just beyond the kitchen, there is room for a full living room and dining setup. We love this building for its outstanding resort quality amenities and convenient location, as it provides covered access to Whole Foods and is right on the border of Gold Coast and Streeterville. (See the gallery below for more stunning photos of this creative convertible layout.)
Property 5- River North
Looking to be in the heart of River North without breaking the bank? Convertibles at River North Property 5 have full-sized one bedrooms with wooden, sliding doors, plenty of closet space, and even an ensuite Juliette balcony. We love this layout because it offers terrific separation and is currently $450 less than a traditional 1 bedroom apartment layout in this building and the only major difference is a sliding door versus a traditional hinge door.
A note to pet owners: the spacious dog run (adjacent to the building’s private portion of the riverwalk) makes this building a must-see! Looking for a dog friendly convertible apartment? Check out property 5!

Primary bedroom suites feature spacious walk in closets, ensuite bathrooms with double vanity sinks, floor to ceiling marble tile, water closets, and a separate free standing shower and soaker tub. Each of the four bedrooms in the signature penthouse has its own full bathroom and spacious closet.
With up to 4330 square feet of interior living space, each thoughtful layout feels like a true home.

Lakeview is a Chicago neighborhood on the north side, just north of Lincoln Park, beloved for its neighborhood charm. In Lakeview you’ll find quiet, tree lined streets between lively streets like Broadway, Belmont, and Clark, which offer frequent street fairs and are completely lined with dining, comedy clubs, nightlife, quirky boutiques, and coffee shops. Since the majority of Lakeview properties are walk ups, low rises, and stand alone homes, it’s less common to find buildings with the caliber of amenities you might find in the neighborhoods closer to downtown. However, Optima Lakeview is a new luxury rental building offering downtown caliber amenities to the people who want to live in the charming Lakeview neighborhood.
The stunning residences at Optima Lakeview feature modern yet comfortable interior finishes, floor to ceiling windows, premium appliances including full sized washers and dryers, and thoughtful floor plans with ample storage and dedicated work from home spaces.
With terraces ranging up to 1606 square feet, these one, two, and three beds feature some of the largest private terraces available in residential buildings in the city. Additionally, select large terraces come fully equipped with landscaping, trees, fire pits, and grills.
The amenities are second to none. With a rooftop sky deck, elegant common spaces perfect for lounging or working from home, outdoor pool and hot tub, billiards and gaming room, an expansive dog run, a state of the art fitness center, full sized basketball and pickle ball courts, a golf simulator, yoga classes, a stunning, light filled atrium at the center of the building, and more, Optima Lakeview has it all. Resident services include package receiving, in-home package delivery, grocery and dry-cleaning delivery, housekeeping, pet care, room service style dinner through Pear Chef, social events, moving assistance, towel service in the locker rooms and fitness center, 24/7 maintenance, plant watering, on site massage therapy, 24/7 concierge for booking tickets and reservations, The activities continue beyond the walls of the building, with the lakefront trail, tennis courts, Waveland Park, Wrigley Field (home of the Cubs), and a nine hole golf course all within just a few blocks.

Lots of new market trends emerged from the pandemic. From increased puppy adoption to Peloton purchases, many products and industries saw a boost this year. One key market trend in the rental market has been absorption of 2 beds. In addition to expected 2 bedroom absorption, here are some reasons explaining where the increased demand came from over this past year.
One Place for All Needs
In 2020, home needed to serve as the office, gym, and recreation space. For many, having their home office and “chill space” be in the same area felt exhausting. Even occupants who lived alone felt a need for 2 beds to have an additional bedroom to serve as a designated office or personal space to create a sense of work-life separation.
Companionship and Additional Occupants
The pandemic highlighted the importance of quarantine companionship. For some people that meant moving in with another occupant and for others that meant adopting a pet. Either way, many renters have been looking for more space to accommodate the fact that they are no longer living alone.
Many renters with travel based jobs, like consultants, leased studio apartments thinking they would only be home on weekends. However, with decreased travel, some of those same renters are opting for more living space.

There’s the east coast and the west coast, but Chicago is called the “Third Coast” for a reason. Located on Lake Michigan with miles of sprawling (underrated) beaches, vibrant culture, and pretty great cuisine, Chicago offers much of the same appeal as New York and LA but in many ways, is much more livable. If you’re moving from Los Angeles to Chicago, here are some of the key differences you may appreciate!
Unlike Los Angeles where each neighborhood is spread out, Chicago neighborhoods change by the block. Shops, restaurants, museums, and parks densely line the streets, making strolling between neighborhoods seamlessly enjoyable.
Chicago offers more bang for your buck than Los Angeles, with pricing for luxury apartments with in-unit laundry hovering between $2200-$2800. Chicago also offers great values on properties if you’re looking to buy! Chicago is also conveniently located in the middle of the country which means its easier to transport goods to Chicago than the west coast from most distributors. In turn, this keeps cost of living, from gas prices to cocktails, lower in Chicago.
You can get within a few blocks of pretty much anywhere with the Chicago transit system. The subway (referred to as the “L” by Chicagoans) has lines running from the Loop (the city’s central business district and epicenter) out in every direction. Bus lines run regularly down most main streets as well. The blue line subway train will take you directly from downtown to inside the terminal if you’re traveling to O’Hare International Airport and want to avoid rush hour traffic (which still pales in comparison to LA traffic).

For renters getting ready to move, timing is everything. Determining when to begin your search can dramatically impact not only rental prices, but also availability. In other words, if you know when to look for an apartment in Chicago, you could find more units and better prices than you might at other times of year. So, what are the secrets? When is the best time to hunt? Here are some tips:
1. Start by knowing what you want. You could say the best time to look for an apartment is when you know what you’re looking for — and you’re willing to focus on that. What’s your budget, for example? If you know you can’t afford to go over a certain limit, don’t waste time viewing rentals you already know you can’t afford. Likewise, what are your must-haves? If you’re not willing to add an extra 10 minutes to your daily commute, there’s no point checking out rentals beyond your target area. You’ll save yourself time and stress by starting the apartment-hunting process with a clear idea of what you need.
2. Give yourself a month, if possible. One month out from your ideal move-in date is the best time to start looking. Most of the apartments that will be available when you’re planning to move will be listed by then, giving you access to a large inventory. While some landlords will list sooner or later than a month out, the majority will be posted with 30 days’ notice.
3. Shop at the end of winter for better deals. Let’s face it: Nobody wants to relocate in the middle of Chicago’s winter snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. If you’re looking for great prices, however, this could be to your advantage. Fewer people want to move in winter, which means less competition for whatever units are empty. By the time March and April roll around, rates will typically have plummeted to their yearly lowest. Depending on what size apartment you’re going for, you could save hundreds of dollars per month in rent simply because you took advantage of the end-of-winter price dips.
4. Look for new year deals. While the end of winter offers lower prices, the start of a new calendar year often brings rental incentives. Every January, be on the lookout for limited-time promotions, such as a few months of free rent or waived admin fees.
5. Shop at the end of summer for a big selection. You don’t have to be a student to know how the school year affects rental availability. Not only do college students, parents, and teachers typically move in the summer to prepare for new school years, but — thanks to yearly leases — that routine can continue well into the future. If you want to see a wide variety of apartments at one time, summer is usually a good bet. Keep in mind, however, that high demand means high competition; if you want to shop in summer, be prepared to act fast and submit your application the same day you view an apartment.
Whether you’re changing neighborhoods, upgrading your apartment size or moving to Chicago for the first time, you can get a lot more bang for your buck by knowing when to look for a new place. Use the five tips above to strategize and find the right home for you. A lot of tasks that once seemed approachable can seem more daunting in the current times of extreme uncertainty, namely, moving during the Coronavirus. We’re here to help. Here’s your guide to moving during the Coronavirus, start to finish.
Step 1: Contact an Agent
Your leasing consultant or broker will start by asking you some questions about your search. For instance, your ideal move time frame, price range, whether you’ll be bringing any pets or cars, whether having in-unit laundry is a must-have or nice-to-have, how much furniture you’re bringing, transit or sites you’d like to be near, view and lighting preference, the finishes, color palettes, and amenities you like best, and anything else that is most important to you.
You’ll want to give some thought to these questions so you know what you’re looking for and your agent can best serve you. You can start by making a list of all the things that are important to you in an apartment, location, and lifestyle. Then, sort your criteria into “must-haves” (the non-negotiables) and “nice-to-haves” (the things you like but can do without).
Step 2: Evaluate the Apartment Options (Round 1)
After having a conversation about what you’re looking for, your agent will send you options that match your criteria via email. Pick the top options (usually about 2-5) that you’d like to virtually tour and let your agent know of any feedback you have from these options. Is there something else you’d like to see? Did you realize something that is more or less important to you than you initially thought? If so, your agent will send you any additional options.
Step 3: Virtually Tour Apartments & Re-Evaluate Options (Round 2)
Your DAC agent will reach out to the on-site team at each property to request a virtual tour and bring the on-site agent up to speed on what you’re looking for. Your DAC agent will either send you the virtual tours or make sure the on-site agents send them. Then, your DAC agent will help you evaluate each tour and talk through the tradeoffs of each option.
Step 4: Apply For an Apartment
Once you’ve chosen the best option, your DAC agent or the on-site agent at the building will send you a link to the online application. These applications are usually conducted through a third party. You’ll want to have the necessary materials ready for income verification. Although managed high rise apartment buildings in Chicago don’t typically ask for a security deposit, there are typically application and administrative fees around $50 and $450, respectively. Some buildings will waive or credit back the administrative fees if you apply within 24 or 48 hours of your virtual tour.
Step 5: Schedule Your Move
Each apartment building has their own protocol for scheduling a time to reserve an elevator for your move in. You’ll want to ask the on-site team member you’ve been working with during the application process about how to schedule your move.
If you’re looking for a fully furnished apartment, you can ask your agent about furniture rental options so you can schedule furniture deliveries, as well.
Step 6: Enjoy Your New Apartment!
For more information about virtual tours, moving during the Coronavirus, or luxury apartments for rent in Chicago, contact us today to get your questions answered by one of our leasing specialists.

Gut rehabbed historic buildings turned into luxury apartments was 2019’s trend in Loop construction. These three luxury Loop apartment buildings opened in 2019 and were rehabbed historic buildings.
The Alfred by FLATS
The Alfred apartments (named after architect, Alfred Alschuler) opened in the former Hartman Building, which was built in 1925. To keep the character of the building, the exterior brick and terra-cotta were repaired and many of the historic interior fixtures, like elevator doors and lights, were salvaged and used in the current design.
The open layout apartments at The Alfred feature high, vaulted ceilings, in unit laundry, poured concrete or herringbone wood floors, with walk-in closets and dishwashers in select units. Residents have access to luxury functional amenities like the 13th floor lounge, a spacious outdoor terrace with seating and fire pits, and a coffee shop in the lobby.
Millennium on Lasalle
Each rental features stone countertops, stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, a tiled kitchen backsplash, and premium Italian cabinets in the kitchen, marble bathroom tile, in unit washer and dryer, and hard surface floors. Layouts include ample storage space– even the efficiency studio floor plans include walk in closets. The apartments at Millennium on Lasalle are also pet friendly! Amenities include bike storage, co-working space with wifi, a movie theatre, dry-cleaning service, an expansive fitness center, an indoor multi sport court, a roof top pool with lounge space and grilling stations, a poker room, chef’s kitchen, dog wash, 24/7 maintenance, and more! Millennium on Lasalle opened in the heart of the financial district in the Loop in fall of 2019.
330 S. Wells
330 S. Wells is a newly rehabbed historic insurance building. The boutique style building has a quiet, community feel despite being so centrally located. Interior finishes are stunning, with quartz countertops, GE stainless steel appliances, modern cabinets, and tile flooring throughout each kitchen, Brizo and Kohler plumbing fixtures in each bathroom, and an in unit washer and dryer in each apartment. The 16 story building houses retail and office space in addition to rental apartments. Both commercial and residential tenants get access to the bike storage room, fitness center, and rooftop lounge. The rooftop is complete with grill stations, fire pits, a chef’s style “sky kitchen”, and an indoor sky lounge. The 5th floor also houses a chef’s style kitchen and lounge, as well as a yoga studio, conference room, and fitness center. The supply of luxury apartments has doubled since 2015 and another 11,000 luxury rental units are in the pipeline. What’s even more baffling is how quickly all these units are being absorbed. (To put this in context, the downtown market historically absorbs about 2,200 luxury rentals per year). Of the 30,000 luxury rentals in downtown Chicago, 46% have been built since 2015, and most of them have been leasing up quickly.
So, who’s renting all these apartments? For the sixth consecutive year, Chicago was named as a top corporate relocation target. According to articles in Multihousing Pro Magazine and Connect Chicago CRE News, the steady increase of job growth and corporate relocations is largely responsible for the absorption of the influx of luxury rental inventory. Ben Creamer, principal and managing broker of Downtown Apartment Company, says “Chicago continues to enjoy robust job growth, especially in the tech sector where jobs are concentrated in the city’s urban core (…) This perpetuates the increased demand for Class A rentals in the city, as does the large percentage of millennials and empty nesters who prefer renting to owning. With demand at an all-time high, expect to see rents continue to rise in tandem.”
Speaking to the very different demographics dominating the market– millennials and empty nesters, with Gen Z closely following– means creating amenity spaces and design that will appeal to all of those groups. Another focus on amenity spaces stems from the expected wants and needs of Gen Z and millennials, demographics that tend to value prime locations, short commutes, great common spaces, and tech-integrated features and services and are willing to compromise on the square footage of actual units in exchange for those features. The increase of corporate relocations also means an increased demand for short term and corporate rentals. In response to all the corporate relocation traffic, some of the downtown buildings even offer incentives for employees of nearby companies.

Century Tower is a stunning historic landmark in Chicago’s Loop. It was built in 1930 and was originally the Trustees System Service Bank Building. At the time of its construction, Century Tower was the tallest reinforced concrete building in the world. Architects, Thielbar and Fugard, spared no detail. Even the red marble used in the lobby is from an ancient Roman quarry!
This high-rise has had many lives. In addition to the time it was a bank, before it was converted into condos in 2005, Century Tower was home to a total of nine countries’ embassies, two radio stations, and was used as a location in Batman Begins Gotham City in 2004. Today, Century Tower has its same regal character but offers modern, luxury rental apartments.
The 2-story lobby greets residents and visitors with a statement chandelier, gold and marble accents, and a grand staircase that seamlessly blends old and new. Being on the first floor of the lobby feels like being in the golden age of 100 years ago when the building was constructed, but climb the staircase and you’ll find a second floor amenity space out as modern as it gets.
The common area’s modern design includes a glass fireplace, succulent wall, wifi, coffee bar, and chic, furnished lounge spaces for working from home or entertaining. The fitness center comes equipped with cardio machines, free weights, a peloton studio, TRX stations, as well as a yoga and group fitness studio with fitness on demand.
Century Tower’s rooftop also seamlessly weaves together the past and present. Head up to the top floor for city views, including the river and Merchandise Mart, as well as fire pits, modern furniture, and barstools with bar style seating around the perimeter.
Each renovated luxury apartment features white quartz countertops, plank flooring, pull-down faucets and deep stainless steel sinks, tiled bathrooms, and espresso finish wood cabinetry, as well as in-unit laundry and terraces in select units. Most bedrooms are loft style and do not have doors. Starting prices are around $1650 for studios, $1925 for 1 beds, and $2350 for 2 beds.

West Town Bakery- West Town (with locations in River North and Wrigleyville)

3 Greens Market and Coffee- River North
3 Greens is so much more than the average coffee shop; Its a one stop-shop for many famous Chicago favorites including the Au Cheval burger, Dillman’s pastrami, and Green Street smoked meats, as well as hot and cold salad bars, coffee, and alcoholic beverages. Unlike the coffee shops that close in the early evening, this work from home spot is open until 8pm. 3 Greens Market has eclectic decor with a variety of seating from large sofas and recliner chairs, 2-person tables, and bar seating, to long 12-person tables and standard 4-person tables.

Moving into a luxury apartment complex, you might expect benefits such as aesthetic décor and comfort. If those aren’t reason enough to take the plunge, there are multiple benefits beyond the plush surroundings and high-end finishes. Here are a few reasons why it’s easy to justify moving into a luxury apartment:
Luxury apartments often are in prime real estate areas, right in the middle of all the action your city has to offer. Shopping, restaurants and nightlife often are just steps away from the front door. Plus, they are strategically located near public transportation, making your commute to work a breeze.
You’ll never want to leave your luxury building with everything on-site, including private parking, a convenience store and a dry cleaner. You will also have 24-hour maintenance, package/receiving, and washer/dryer units in your apartment.
Luxury means luxury — so expect some lavish elements. Many apartments include integrated appliances, with a washer
and dryer in the unit; plus spa-inspired bathrooms, smart thermostats, floor-to-ceiling windows, private balconies and hardwood floors. Possibilities for a gourmet kitchen include quartz/waterfall countertops, kitchen hoods and backsplashes.
Many luxury apartment buildings have state-of-the-art fitness centers and outdoor pools for tenants’ exclusive use. Other amenities may include private terrace cabanas, club rooms to entertain your friends, massage rooms, concierge and/or valet service at your fingertips, and even pet spas to pamper your four-legged friends.
Luxury apartments usually feature state-of-the-art, round-the-clock security. Video surveillance, keyless entry into private elevators, and a 24-hour door person to monitor everyone entering and exiting the building will enhance your personal safety.
Rising 281 feet above downtown Chicago’s River North, 3Eleven has caught our attention. The new sleek, stylish and sophisticated building is as captivating inside as it is out. The project, developed by the John Buck Company, will feature 245 luxury apartments, considerable amenities and roughly 3,000 square feet of retail space making this building a one-stop-shop for all your living conveniences.
Whether your preference is to drive or bike, the building offers both indoor parking and nearly 200 bike storage stalls so you’ll never have to worry about parking. Adding further convenience and peace of mind, smart package storage will make having things shipped directly to you simpler. Luxury and convenience are at your fingertips throughout.
As many Chicagoans know, we experience frequently changing seasons, but year round nobody can resist a beautiful rooftop. 3Eleven’s rooftop is equipped with everything one could possibly want. Whether you’re entertaining yourself or guests on those beautiful days, residents can enjoy a rooftop pool with plenty of lounge seating and hammocks to relax on under the sun. During the perfect starry nights the outdoor rooftop spaces also include additional dining areas, grilling stations and cozy fire pits. What more could you ask for?
